Steve has played with various bands including Satyr Hill, Hickory Hollow, Carter Country, and Grass on the Rocks. Also played with rock and blues bands in the mid 90's. Currently plays with The Matt Douglas Trio and Foggy Hollow. Influences include Tony Rice, Clarence White, David Bromberg, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Albert King. Hobbies are music, kayaking, fishing, and camping. Steve works as a machinist.
Rick grew up in a musical family. His brother Oddie played the fiddle and had a bluegrass band in the 60's and 70's called The Foggy Hollow Boys. Father Miles played the banjo and fiddle, brother Donald played the guitar, banjo, dobro and steel guitar and his oldest brother Miles Jr. plays the mandolin. Rick has been a member of the Foggy Hollow Boys, Slate Ridge, The Susquehanna Bluegrass Band, Summit Hill and now Foggy Hollow. Influences include his father and his late brother Oddie. Rick works as a safety/facilities manager for a communications company.
Jim started playing bass and banjo at age 14. His first band was with Oddie Jones and the Foggy Hollow Boys, and has played with various local bands, including a Rounder Records project with Tom Neal and Dick Stabler in 1973. Jim also played 6 months with Al Jones and Frank Necessary (one album with this band)and also played briefly with Charlie Moore in 1974. After many years of not playing music Jim returned to the music scene in 2009. Jim has recently retired and is living the good life!!
A lifelong fan of bluegrass music, Doug also revived his playing career in 2009 and currently plays a custom built Logan mandolin. Hobbies include fishing and hunting, his lovely wife Carin and two daughters Lilly and Emma. Doug works as a housing inspector for an independent firm.
A former classical violinist, Martha first heard bluegrass music in 2000 and has been hooked ever since. Her fine fiddle playing and vocals add to the rich sound of our music.
